KACHIN STATE ( Northern Myanmar )
Myanmar’s northen most state is a mountainous region occupied by approximately 14 different ethic groups, the Jinghpaws or Kachins, being the dominant one. The life style of the hill tribe peoples at the north has changed little over the centuries. Their religion is mostly animistic and the formation of the clans heredity, with the youngest son inhering the father’s position and wealth.
Experiencing the way of life of the hill tribe people is a unique opportunity to observe the culture, and day-to-day routines and rituals of people who have lived in isolation from the outside world for so long. Annual festivals provide a fascinating insight into their lives, of which the Manao Festival is one of the most engaging at the end of the year.
Putao ( Switzerland of Myanmar )
Well known as " Khamti Lon ", aborginally meaning " Golden Region " is
surrounded by dazzling white snow-capped high mountains. The history of the area dates back to more than thousands of years. Putao is populated by three main races, namely Tai Khamti, Rawang and Lisu. Mt. Hkakabouazi ( 5889m ), the highest peak in South East Asia, and snowcapped all the year round could be reached from Putao only by hiking. The fauna and folra on the way to Mt. Hkakaborazi is still unspoiled.
European climate region of the country which is commonly known as
Switzerland of Myanmar. It is a joleasure, haung both ice-cold water surrounded by the rocks in the stream or hot water in the stream and spas. You can also snoke in the stream and rioulets to love a look at agna trc animals during November to January, you can also visit Phongan ice-capped mountain.
Putao is well rich in cultural heritage. Most of the people in Putao do live on
growing agriculture, paddy cultivation, fetching herbs and medicinal plants, eaglewood, aloes wood, and hunting. Every household on manageable scale grows fruit trees, such as grape fruit, ruby fruit, orange, lime, jackfruit, lychees, coffee, tea plantation and vegetable. Grape fruit and ground orchid are famous. Thou major eco-tourism could be accessible to the land. Only few foreign travelers had touched the wondrous land due to its eco-adventurous tour.
Mt. Hkaakaborazi
The highest snow capped mountain which peaks to 19296' above sea level, locates at Naung Mon Township of Putao district, Kachin state. It is relatively easy to climb by the mountaineers and many of the climbers had successfully scaled to its height for several times. To reach it success the adventuring mountaineers have to past many difficult passes, through dense jungle. Around Hkaakaborazi area nearly about a thousand individual numbers of people lives in 22 small villages. The people are descended from Tibeto-Myanmar group and the environ area is also filled with full of beautiful flora and faunas. Environmental protection is been also maintained at Hkaakaborazi Mountain for eco-tourism purpose and it stand challenging for the adventurous mountaineer until today.
Myitkyina
The capital of Kachin State, known as the land of " Jade " locates far north about 1440 km from Yangon. The most popular place in the area is " Myitson " where the two rivulets Maykha and Malikha merged to form the Ayeyarwaddy, the major river of the country. The town of Myikyina, the largest in Kachin, has always been a trading center between Myanmar and China. It makes an ideal base from where to visit nearby villages, jade mining centers, and the magnificent Indawgyi Lake.
Myitkyina also assures the finest array of fruits in Burma (Myanmar). Spot lights of Myitkyina are Andaw Shin and Hsu Taung Pyi pagoda, Kachin cultural museum, Molashidi bridge, Kraing Naw recreation center, Jordanni tower, WWII Japanese memorial cemetery. Home for the four major groups, Janghpaw, Maru, Rawan, and lisu descended from Tibeto-Burman origin, which generally represents as Kachin, lives in great numbers within it’s region, ruled by a chieftain. The quickest way to reach Myitkyina is by a nonstop flight that reaches within 11/2 hour. Train from Mandalay to Myitkyina covers about 540 km and takes about 25 hours journey on a single track laid during colonial days. Today Myitkyina and its environ stands as a great fascinating destination for oversea travelers.
Inndawgyi Lake
Inndawgyi is the largest and pristine fresh water natural lake in Myanmar, covering an area of over 40 square miles. Lying in the far north of Mogaung Township in Myitkyina District, it measures 16 miles from north to south and seven miles from east to west at its widest point.
Surrounded by hills, and fed by about a dozen streams. Unlike the lake, it is very deep at some places and free from pollution. Hence, it is as beautiful and spectacular as Inlay, if not more. But, up till now it hasn’t become a popular tourist destination like Inlay. The chief reason is lack of easy access as it lies way of the main routes of transportation. But, surely, the day will come when the area will be developed for tourism and tourists will arrive there in droves. Then a holiday at Inndawgyi will become a favored choice at home and abroad.
Hpakant (Jade Land)
Situates 75 miles west of Myitkyina with
magnificent mountain scenery and the valley river Uyu presents a perfect panoramic view around the Jade mining center town Hpakant. The world best high graded Jade qualities are excavated at this area. One can also observe various method of jade mining such as river type; open type and mountain cut type at Taw Maw, Lon kin, Sai Lon, Wai Ka at surrounding villages.
Mt. Victoria ( Western Myanmar )
Mt Victoria Mountain intrepid with famous Myanmar flora plant and breath taking panoramic view for explores. The amazing mountain is situated at chin state among the highest peak measuring to 10,000' ft above sea level. Direction could be started from old ancient Bagan to trek Mt Victoria. You will need 2 supporting teams, one team will be your cook; a driver, an agent personal and the other will be an arm escort team to protect during your adventurous journey. To reach Mt. Victoria you have to first cross the Ayeyarwaddy River on a sort of landing craft with jeeps organized according to the number of Travellers. Then drive to Mindat for night stop break.

Trek to kanpetlet forest department office, which is a long day journey based on a scruffy little settlement someway down a steep valley hillside near Eicasan, then enroute back to Bagan. Traveling to MT Victoria is an adventurous journey and it is good to track at springtime to leave vivid memories.
SHAN STATE ( EASTERN MYANMAR )
The most beautiful pictureque land, situated on the Eastern part of Myanmar. Occupying nearly a quarter of Myanmar. Shan State is filled with pine and teak forest, surrounded by a Plateau Limestone. A unique opportunity to feel the windy weather. Ethnic experien ways of life of hill tribe peoples.
Kalaw
An old favourite British summer hill resort that nestled in the heart of pine studded Shan hills, situated about 71 kilometers west of Taunggyi. A picturesque village surrounded by pine forests, it features some of Myanmar’s most beautiful garden. Numerous of hill tribes are sheltered for trekking and exploring around Kalw in small villages, namely as Pa-Oo, Palaung, Danu, Taungyo, Padaung to represent their colorful costume, culture, custom, own language dialects and walk of life around Kalaw. It’s a great breath taking excitement trekking for those who wish to experiment.
Pindaya
The famous legendary town crowned with a beautiful lake and many impressive Bo trees, lies 23 km far from Kalaw hill resort, is also one the most famed destination for its 490' ft depth natural cave, centuries stored Buddha images and traditional handicraft workshops, trekking tracks to the Shan ethnic Danu, Palaung, Pa-Oo villages. The road from Kalaw to Pindaya is magnificent scenic beauty with panoramic mountain views, reminiscent of the Alps in Europe.
Inlay Lake
A unique water world and homeland for the Intha inhabits that migrated from Tavoy region during 14th century A.D North- east of Myanmar. The most breath taking view of Inlay are their developed floating homes, unique style of leg-rowing, catching fish with conical trap method, floating gardens of cultivating crops and the famous Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda quilt on the lake. Though there are 200- estimated small village around the lake. Inlay lake raiment and covers a length of 9 square miles from North-south in it wideness and 3½ miles to East- west with a depth of 5 meters.
Moeyungyi ( Birds Watching Wetland )
Moeyungyi is a wild life sanctuary and a famous eco-tourism site in Myanmar, where many rare bird spices are to be found for bird lovers. Situated on the Yangon - Mandalay highway road of Bago division, about 130 km North-east of Yangon city. The beautiful lake covers an area of 40 square miles. During the beginning of winter season more than 75 bird spices, from the Northern hemisphere and some cold seeking birds, from Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand travels to reach Moeyungyi to take refugee. 45 of these birds are aquatic and the rest are biped birds. Most of the aquatics and biped are migrated birds such as Sessile, Bondage, Amino, and Chinese mag-pig, White ibis, Crane, Eastern gray heron and other spices. To explore the attractive nature life of the birds there’s a watchtower built at the center of the lake attached with a bridge.
Moeyungyi is a marvelous bird watching site around Myanmar and a great destination in South - East Asia.
Sein Yay Forest Camp
Situated in the dense forest of Bago “ mountain range “, is one of an interesting Eco- tourism destination among the newly created site. Bago “ mountain range “ is the most prominent range filled with natural forests, streams, birds, and rare flowers. 75 % of world teak reserves are to be found at the Bago range. Clients traveling along this area could explore the magnificent teak forests, trekking with elephant experiences, logging works, Kayin indigenous tribe villages around Sein Yay and other forest camps.
Accommodation and Facilities : Simple cottage made of Wood and Bamboo, clean mattress, blanket, pillows, mosquito net, TV, Mini- bar, air- condition, hot shower at every chalets are unviable, a generator is used for evening lights. Trained chefs are kept to arrange simple hygienic food. Purified water is supplied for drinking and cooking.Alaungdaw Kathpa ( Wild Life National Park )
The first national park that serves as wild life habitat area for eco- tourism in Myanmar covers an area of 620.89 sq. mile. Two forest are reserved at the park with almost undisturbed environ. Travelers can trek or explore with an elephant ride to gain a new experiences. The area is remarkably rich with rare endangered spices mammals such as samba deer, wild boar, tiger, Himalayan Bear, guar and banteng.
